Description
Marina di Stintino Situated next to the inner brakwater of the port of Stintino ( in the north-eastern part of the harbour, in the village of Tanca Manna), the Marina di Stintino is a marina equipped with a fixed quay and some floating jetties. Sea bottoms range from 4 to 10 metres near jetties and from 1.6 to 11 metres around the quay. The port facility can host 320 boats up to 85 metres in lenght. 50 berths are specifically reserved for transiting boats. The marina offers a wide range of yachting services, such as: water and electric charging columns, waste collection, filling station, wachtmen, toilets, showers, scuba divers, technical assistance, electric and mechanical repairs, hull maintenance, open-air and covered boat storage areas, cranes (from 30 to 45 tons), sail repairs and parking. Thanks to its proximity to the town of Stintino, the marina allows visitors to enjoy all the tourist services of the place: supermarkets; shops; car, bike and moto rental; reservations of tourist excursions and berths at the multi-buoy terminal in the Asinara Island National Marine Park. In case of eastern winds, entering the port can become a little difficult. In general, yachtsmen are required to pay attention to a signaled rock situated east of the port, in addition to low sea bottoms around the inner breakwater. The sandy and rocky seabed inside the basin offers yachtsmen the possibility to drop the anchor in complete safety. A promontory divides the area into two small ports for fishing and recreational boats: the old one is named "Minori" while the new one is known as "Mannu" (big). The Marina di Stintino represents an ideal starting point to Balearic Islands, the pictureque Fornelli Strait, Isola Piana, Asinara Island, Pelosa Strait and north-western Sardinia, rich of wonderful attractions, such as the Asinara Marine Park and the namesake gulf, Pelosa Beach, the Valley of the Moon, Isola Piana and a series of ancient Spanish watchtowers.
